Art Basel Hong Kong: MCM x Tobias Rehberger cocktail party
Sono stato invitato da MCM fino ad Hong Kong per partecipare al party di lancio della capsule collection MCM x Tobias Rehberger. Che serata incredibile!
Una serata in onore dell’artista tedesco Tobias Rehberger, che ha collaborato con il marchio di pelletteria di lusso, anch’esso tedesco, MCM (Modern Munich Creations) in occasione del suo 40° anniversario, realizzando una collezione in edizione limitata di borse a zaini. Insieme a tanti altri blogger internazionali e ospiti d’eccezione, tra cui Nicky e Barron Hilton, Karolina Kurkova e Hailey Baldwin, ho potuto scoprire e toccare con mano la collezione all’interno dello store monomarca MCM di Hong Kong, acceso solo per l’occasione da coloratissime luci al neon. L’installazione artistica ideata da Tobias Rehberger prevedeva, dal pavimento al soffitto, anche lo stesso motivo geometrico di linee in bianco e nero della capsule. Che mi ha conquistato al primo sguardo.
La serata è poi proseguita con l’After Party al Volar, uno dei club più cool di Hong Kong con dj set internazionali. Una meta in cui tornare sicuramente durante il mio prossimo viaggio in città!

I was invited by MCM up to Hong Kong to attend the MCM x Tobias Rehberger capsule collection launch party. What an amazing night!
A night in honor of the German artist Tobias Rehberger, who collaborated with the luxury leather goods brand, also German, MCM (Modern Munich Creations) for their 40th anniversary, creating a limited edition collection of bags to backpacks. Along with many other international bloggers and special guests, including Nicky and Barron Hilton, Karolina Kurkova and Hailey Baldwin, I could fexplore the collection at the MCM flagship store in Hong Kong, where just for this special occasion had been installed colorful neon lights. Part of the artistic installation realized by Tobias Rehberger counted, from floor to ceiling, the same geometric pattern of lines in black and white of the capsules. That won me at first glance.
The evening then continued with the After Party at Volar, one of the coolest clubs in Hong Kong with international dj sets. A destination to come back definitely on my next trip to the city!
